From this point we have a ton of options, generally speaking stability based exercises have always been the “vegetable” on the dinner plate. Something people know that is good for them, but everyone hates to do and often tries to feed to the dog! Yet, by using more dynamic exercises and placing them at the beginning (rather than the end) of our workouts we are not only getting off to a good start but usually this helps the quality of all the other exercises in the circuit because we awaken more muscles and segments of the body.
Next we often like to implement an Ultimate Sandbag Training exercise that has a focus on handling more weight. Why do we do this? One, it hits more of the fast-twitch muscle fibers that are the easiest to develop. Two, we can get even more out of our circuit because again we are really stimulating the nervous system which is responsible for how many and how much muscles are used. Three, because often there is a strong core component as well which teaches us how to help our low backs.
