Synergy Ultimate Sandbag and Kettlebell Training is Back! 0

No, this isn’t your Mom and Dad’s Kettlebell and Ultimate Sandbag Training program, heck, it probably isn’t your Grandma and Grandpa’s fitness program either! When I got into Kettlebells back in 2002 I was not so much enamored with the traditional use of Kettlebells as much as I was all the problem solving they would allow me to accomplish for my clients. While I respect the traditional use Kettlebells that just isn’t what my clients or myself are looking for with their fitness programs. They want BIG TIME fitness results!

Then There Was Ultimate Sandbag Training

Ironically, Ultimate Sandbag Training followed a similar path for myself. I saw sandbag training in the early 2000′s as a nice “change of pace”, but that was about it. Yea, sandbag training was tough, but because of the lack of versatility of traditional sandbag training I just didn’t see it as much more than that. Fast forward to 2005 with my first version of my Ultimate Sandbag and it felt like a whole new world opened up!

Once I started seeing the possibilities of Ultimate Sandbag Training in problem solving, it made sense that any great fitness program is all about how are you getting people to results faster in a more fun and exciting way!

Back in 2007 it made sense to combine Kettlebells and Ultimate Sandbag Training, after all they both of great and unique powers to improve fitness and meet any fitness level needs. That was our first Synergy program and as we continued to grow we developed better ideas and training methods to use Kettlebells and Ultimate Sandbag Training in ways that not only were cool and exciting, but took fitness programs to the next level. Looking at the needs of fitness and the person over the implement gave us the freedom to introduce some amazing programs.

Ultimate Sandbag Training & Kettlebells Beyond the Exercises

That’s right, Synergy 2.0 is NOT about cool workouts or exercises, rather we wanted a program that took you down the journey and path of success. Back in the early 2000′s I could have convinced you if I wanted that the power was in the training tool because they were different and unique. Now I look on television and stores such as Target, Wal-mart, heck, even Best Buy to see some of these training tools. That means it all goes back to what really is the most important part of any fitness program and especially Kettlebells and Ultimate Sandbag Training is about the program you develop.

That is why I was excited to have strength coach, Troy Anderson, collaborate with me on Synergy 2.0. A coach too that not only has almost 20 years of coaching experience, but someone who has competed in Olympic lifting, Strongman, and college football. Yet, his skills don’t like in what he does for himself, rather his amazing skills in creating highly effective programs for his diverse clientele base.

Synergy Ultimate Sandbag and Kettlebell Training is Back!

They Are Performing Ultimate Sandbag Training Wrong? 0

Yes was the question I was asked during a recent interview about our Ultimate Sandbag Training program. Why would the interviewer ask me such a question? Well, it only takes a few minutes of us discussing the rationale behind the Ultimate Sandbag Training system then people understand that not only were they not optimizing Ultimate Sandbag Training, but they were completely missing the boat!

Trust me, it would be easy for me to just show you guys cool looking exercises or create Ultimate Sandbag Training programs that were simply based off of the barbell, but that just isn’t what I believe is right! When we are referred to as “the sandbag training company”, I somewhat chuckle. Yes, I know, we talk about Ultimate Sandbag Training all the time so why would it be wrong to say that we are the “sandbag training company”? Solutions, that’s right, as great as the Ultimate Sandbag is, by itself it can’t help you reach your fitness goals any faster. Ultimate Sandbag Training is far less about “sandbag training” and much more about providing you with better solutions to reaching your fitness goals.

Is Ultimate Sandbag Training all that Different?

Absolutely! It would be so much easier to simply give you five Ultimate Sandbag Training exercises and tell you that is all you had to perform to get really fit. Yet, I don’t believe that, that goes back to focusing on exercises rather than programs. It is far more challenging to make Ultimate Sandbag Training a comprehensive program and to teach the many options it provides. However, if we do this right, if we teach how to use the Ultimate Sandbag Training program as a simple to implement but highly powerful solution, then there is no reason ANYONE can’t benefit!

How do you do it? How do you use Ultimate Sandbag Training to really make a BIG impact upon your fitness. First is you have to know the goals and the progressions of the Ultimate Sandbag Training System or the Dynamic Variable Resistance Training™ program (DVRT™).

Ultimate Sandbag Training Principles:

-It Is All About Movement: Sure, a lot of people would say the same thing about their training programs unfortunately most fitness programs get stuck in one plane of motion and a handful of exercises. They MISS out on so much in expanding their movement skills because of the common trap of believing they are getting strong all around. Simply is not true! Not only is Ultimate Sandbag Training not about getting stuck in a few exercises, it is about teaching you how to move well, something that so many people have lost!

-Stability and Instability: Maybe not new to some, but very few people see how stability and instability play important role in both their programs and exercise selection. Unlike many static implements like barbells and dumbbells, Ultimate Sandbag Training offers many levels of progressing stability and instability.

Stable Body Position/Stable Implement Position/Stable Implement->Stable Body Postion/UNSTABLE Implement Position/Stable Implement->UNSTABLE Body Position/Stable Implement Position/Stable Implement->Stable Body Position/Stable Implement Position/UNSTABLE implement.

This may possibly sound complicated, but the truth is it is quite simple once you understand how to successfully program these ideas and look at each workout and exercise in these terms. This allows constant progressions and successful training and avoiding the common plateaus that so many other fitness programs run into. Almost equally important is the idea that you also have a TON of variations available to you! Not just different to be unique or flashy, but different with a purpose to put YOU in the best position of success!
